Overview

Price Rules now allow you to set a new condition: If customers book an event x days in advance, they get x discount. When creating a price rule you'll be able to assign it to all applicable events.

Setup

Price Rules can be created from Settings > Offerings > Price Rules.

Under 'Select who this rule applies to' choose 'Add condition.'

Choose 'Booking time' > set number of days (or hours) before event.

Choose your discount offered > then select which events it applies to.

Here's an example what customers will see. On the right, the price rule is in place because the customer is booking a week out.

Setting customer expectations

Pro-tip: create a sense of urgency in your customers to book early by adding a description to the class template.

Example: " This class has early bird pricing of 20% off up until 3 days before the start date. "

Here's where customers will see your class description. To see the discounted price they can click 'Book without membership.'

FAQ's

Will this discount apply to memberships?

No, since those have already been purchased, a discount cannot be given. This price rule discount will show for customers booking without a membership.

Can discount cutoffs be set to the hour?

Yes, you'll find an option to choose between days and hours.

Can I combine multiple early bird discounts?

Yes, you can create "layers" of discounts with multiple price rules that expire over time.

Note: these should be created as separate price rules. Do not use the 'and' option in the condition section of a single price rule.

For example:

10% off if booked 30+ days out
5% off if booked 20+ days out
5% off if booked 10+ days out

If all 3 of these price rules were applied to a specific class or class template, and someone booked one of those classes 31 days out, they would receive a discount that combined all of these price rules, resulting in 20% off.

If they booked 25 days out they'd get 10% off.

15 days out they'd get 5% off.

5 days out they'd get no discount
