This integration allows you to field responses to emails you sent from Momence -- right from your Momence inbox. Ie, if you send out a blast email through Momence and responses are now coming in, this integration will show those responses in your Momence Inbox.
In addition, when you mark one of these response messages as "read" in your Momence inbox the integration will also update that same message as read in your gmail inbox.

If emails are sent to the gmail
inbox from email addresses that are not yet in the host's Momence account, will this result in the email not being received? Ie. does the message need to come from an existing customer to show in the Momence inbox?
Correct. Since the integration only shows customer responses to emails you sent via Momence, it will not show an email from a customer. It also will not show an email where a customer reached out cold. Both of these emails will still show as unread in your gmail inbox.
