Sharing

Share memberships with other hosts

Thinking about partnering up with another local business? Sharing a membership allows your customers to pay for one membership with benefits at both establishments.

To get started, click the dropdown menu next to the subscription > Share with another host

Search for the host, select them and Submit.

Once the host accepts, the membership will be shared and you'll see it now has a blue 'shared' tag.

Things to know before sharing a membership:

Revenue

  • Revenue received from membership purchases (from both hosts) will be directed to one host: the host that initially shared the membership

  • If the two hosts wish to divide revenue, a sales report can be pulled within Momence to assist. Payment from one host to another will need to be made outside of Momence

Host experience

  • Each host will have their own purchase link for the membership

  • Hosts can determine which classes/appointment services the membership can be used toward within their business (to do this, just edit the membership)

  • From the recipient host's perspective, the membership will not be visible to the public unless the purchase link is copied and shared by the host

Customer experience

  • Customers will be able to use the membership across both schedules

  • When a new customer from the other studio uses the membership to book one of your classes, they'll show up as a new customer in your customer list, allowing you to market to them

How to get started

  • Create a subscription, package, or on-demand subscription

  • Click the drop-down menu to the right > then click 'Share with another Host'

  • Search for the host and send the request. The host will receive an email/link that takes them to a page where they can accept the request

The host will also see the open request listed in their subscriptions and packs page.

Once accepted, the recipient host will see a blue 'Shared' tag next to the membership.

Note: the absence of a 'featured at checkout' toggle. This means the membership will not be visible to the public unless the purchase link is copied and shared by the host.

To share this membership, click it, copy the purchase link, then share it with your customer base either on your website or through an email blast.

Share a Customer's Membership credits with Another Customer

To share one customer's class pack or subscription with another customer,

click Customers > Customer List > locate the customer > locate the subscription or pack > click the dropdown to the right > click Share.

Change the order of your subscriptions and packs

If you've just added some new subscriptions and packs and want to make sure they're the first options you're customers see, move these new additions to the top of your offerings.

To re-order them,

  • click Memberships > Subscriptions/Packs

  • click Actions > Edit Order

Hiding

'Disable' feature for memberships: What it does and what its for

The 'disable' feature for memberships is an admin only facing feature.

A disabled membership:

  • is hidden from the public view

  • is hidden from and the front desk role

    • not discoverable in POS

    • not visible in the membership index page

  • can only be sold by an admin, and only from the subscription's details page.

Its ideal for a high level of control, where you don't want this subscription sold/given to just anyone. A good example would be a Staff Membership.

Its also helpful if you just want to temporarily power down a membership's sales from all areas.

Note: this is different from toggling off 'featured at checkout'. If a membership is featured at checkout, its discoverable by customers who are viewing your offerings online. If a membership is no longer featured at checkout it can still be sold by a front desk role through point of sale.

Admins can see a list of disabled subscriptions by navigating to Subscriptions and Packs > clicking Filters. To disable a membership, they can click the drop down menu to the right of it > Disable.

If the admin wants to sell a disabled subscription, they can click it > click new sale > add the customer and add the price (it will default to $0) > then take payment.

If the admin wants to re-enable the subscription so other roles can sell it. They can click the drop down to the right > then click Enable.

Reordering

Reorder your subscriptions and packages

To change the order of the memberships your customers see, click Memberships > Subscriptions & Packs > Edit Order.

Then drag the memberships up or down.

To preview how customers will see the new order, click your logo in the top left, then Your Page.

If you're sharing your checkout page with customers, here's what they'll see: a list of Purchase Options. To view memberships that display on checkout pages for classes, scroll further down to view the schedule and click Book Now next to any class.

To see just subscriptions or packs that apply to appointments, click Book Appointments at the top, follow the prompts to a checkout page.

If you're using a Plugin on your website, and want to preview how this will look to customers, note that customers won't see the Purchase Options list like they do above, but will still see applicable memberships on each checkout page.

To preview this customer experience, click Studio Setup > Add to website > in the preview pain (bottom right) click on 'Book Now' next to a class to see the list of memberships presented at checkout.

To check on the customer experience on the customer facing mobile app, open the app, log in as a customer, select your studio and choose memberships.

Or, run through a checkout to purchase a class or appointment to see the order of applicable memberships.

Add a membership link to your website (where to find the purchase page link)

To add a link to your membership purchase page to your website,

click Memberships > Subscriptions and Packs > choose one of the following: Subscriptions, Packages or On-Demand Subscriptions.

Then select the Membership you'll be adding to your website.

At the top of this page you'll find a link to the 'Purchase page' > copy this link and add it to your site.

To preview what the customer will see, click the link.
