Corporate One Off Messages

Written by Erin

Overview

You can now send single One-Off brand-wide messages across all of your franchise locations, removing the need to send the same message location by location.

What's required before I can start sending?

Check for conflicts

First check that the feature is activated. Under 'Corporate Entities,' if you don't see the 'One-off messages' listed, contact [email protected] to enable it (must be a corporate/franchise host).

Next, check that the domain you're planning to use is not already in use by one of your locations. Check this by clicking Franchisees > click the dropdown to the right of each location > Open dashboard.

Within each location's profile click Settings > Marketing suite settings >

Scroll to “Domain verification for emailing” > check that the domain name is something different than what you intend to use. If nothing is listed that's fine.

Repeat for each location.

If you find no conflicts, meaning the domain name you are planning to use is not already in use by one of your franchisees follow the steps below to verify your domain.

If you do find a conflict, do not attempt to verify the domain. Instead, reach out to [email protected] to notify us and we'll make the adjustment for you to give ownership of that domain to the flagship company.

Once the adjustment has been made you can skip to Add a sending email address & start sending near the bottom of this article.

Enter the domain name you'll be sending messages from

If no conflicts are found, you're good to verify the domain.
Click Corporate Entities > One-off Messages > Go to Verified domains >

Enter the domain you'd like to send messages from. (ex. yourbrand.com) and click Save domain.

Add generated DNS records to your website builder

Momence will generate a list of DNS records. Add these records to your DNS provider (or, if your IT team oversees this, share this page with them).

Wait for verification

Next, wait a day or two for your DNS provider to verify the changes. In Momence, refresh the Verified Domain to see confirm the verification is finalized.

Add a sending email address & start sending

Once finalized, add sending email address. (ex. [email protected]) You're now ready to start sending One-off messages to customers of all locations.
