Staff commissions incentivize your staff to sell. They can be assigned to specific:

  • services

  • retail products

  • memberships

With memberships, you can choose how many renewals the commission applies to. (ie. will the staff member get 10% commission of just today's sale? Or today's sale plus and additional percentage of the next x renewals?)

To add a commission to an item, navigate to the service, product or membership, click edit and enable Staff Commissions.

Ask staff to confirm who gets the sale before they sell

In General Setup, just above tipping, you'll find a section where you can ask staff members to confirm who is selling before the sale takes place. This confirmation before the sale helps eliminate any mixups with who was driving the sale at the time and who gets which commission later on.

View the Staff Commissions Report

You'll have eyes on who's rising above the rest with commission sales. This report contains 3 revenue categories to help you understand which areas each staff member made the biggest impact the business's bottom line.

This report is available under Analytics > Reports > scroll to Staff Payroll > click Staff Commissions.

FAQ's

Will this show in payroll?

Yes. Commissions will soon be shown in the Combined Payroll Report.

Are commissions also applicable to packs?

Yes. As long as you edit the pack to enable the commission.

If price rules are applied to an item, does the commission calculate based on the original price or the discounted price?

The discounted price. As an example, here's a sale that will result in a half off price rule being applied. The commission is 10%. Notice how the commission takes 10% of the discounted total, not the original price.

If a package auto-fills, and pays out a commission for the next 3 renewals, will the selling staff member get a new commission for the next 3 auto-fills?

They will, but only for the next 3 auto-fills. After that the commissions will cease.
