Customer Referred Trigger
The Customer Referred Trigger keeps your new referrals engaged. With this new sequence trigger, you can set up a series of messages to ensure that new customer referrals aren't forgetting about your business.

When setting up your sequence, you may want to:
have the first message go to every referred customer as they create their account
set counter conditions to remove anyone from the sequence that's purchased a class or membership
This ensures the messages only fire to referrals who:
have created and an account
have yet to book, and
have not yet purchased a membership
To get started, click Marketing > Sequences > Customers > search for: Customer Referred.
Tag Added to Customer Trigger
Within Sequences, 'Actions' allow you to send messages, assign tasks, and add/remove tags. With this 'Add tag' action in mind, you now can create new sequences that build off the 'adding' of that tag as a triggers for other new actions.
The 'Tag Added to Customer' trigger allows you to target customers that receive a tag (either by a sequence action of 'Add tag' or by manually adding a tag to a group of customers). Need a refresher on how to bulk tag customers from your CRM? Click here.
Ie.
Sequence 1:
Trigger: if a customer does x,
Action: assign tag x.
Sequence 2:
Trigger: if tag x is added to a customer,
Action: send x message or assign x task.
There are countless other creative ways that you can use this new trigger to make your business run more efficiently. A few examples are:
tagging customers as ‘advanced’ and sending targeted messaging about new perks they get;
creating a sequence with a customer feedback survey and reminder emails, and only including customers with over 100 visits;
having a set of emails about pre/postnatal tips that trigger anytime you or your staff members learn of a customer being pregnant and tag them.
Find this trigger under Marketing > Sequences > Customers > Tag added to customer.

A New Counter Condition for Sequences: Active Membership
First, what are Counter Conditions?
When setting up a sequence, you get to define the condition (a Trigger) for when an Action is performed.
An action can be a message being sent, or a task being created. This can target a large group depending on the criteria for the trigger (ie. when a customer purchases a class, send a message)
To help ensure you target the correct group of people, Counter Conditions allow you to basically tell Momence: "Target this large group of people (Trigger), but DO NOT contact this specific sub-group of people within that larger group (Counter Condition)"
An example using all three terms would be:
Trigger: when a customer signs up for a class,
Action: send them a message that says 'x',
unless, (counter condition) they've purchased a membership in the past -- do not send this message to those customers
What's new with Counter Conditions?
Momence recently rolled out a new counter condition option: Active Memberships.
Now, under the Counter-conditions settings of any Sequence Action you will see the option to select “Don’t send if customer has active membership.” This new setting allows you to remove anyone who currently has a membership on their account for any action that you create within a sequence.

Create New Leads from Sequences
You now have the ability to create a lead from any sequence. To do this,
click Marketing > Sequences > select a sequence > Add an Action > Create Lead
Flexibility in defining your leads
This is useful if you have different definitions of a lead -- maybe you view existing customers that haven't yet purchased a subscription or pack yet as leads -- or if you have a part of the customer journey that you want to track within your leads list. You can then update their lead stage to track exactly where they are in their customer journey.
For example, let’s say you have a One Free Class special that clients only receive from an advertisement connected to a lead form. Also, after they use their free class, you offer an Unlimited Month Intro. Technically, once the client purchases one of these items, they are converted into a customer in Momence, however, you still consider them to be leads until they complete their intro and purchase a membership.
To add these clients to back into your leads list after purchasing the intro, you could create a sequence using the Intro offer purchase trigger and the Create lead action type, then associate it with the a source related to your intro offer. Additionally, this would also capture any client who purchases your intro offer, even if they didn’t receive the special One Free Class advertisement, enabling you to see the full picture of that group.
Find the new Create lead under the Action type section within each action of a sequence.
In another example, you could designate anyone that signed up for class as a lead, and put them through a lead funnel designed to convert them to a membership purchase.

New Sequence Metrics
On the Sequences page you'll now find a metrics section to help you track how your marketing sequences are performing.
Measured over the last 30, 90, or 365 days, the Metrics box contains:
Sequences Triggered - the number of overall sequence runs that happened
Executed actions - the individual actions (i.e. SMS, emails, staff tasks, etc)
Revenue generated - the amount of revenue you received from customers within, say, 30 days since they opened the message
You'll also find a percentage increase or decrease to help you measure against the previous period. This helps your see larger trends.

New Tag Condition
Conditions are part of Sequences.
Sequences target specific lists of customers with messaging or other actions. These actions look for special "triggers", reasons to perform the action. Triggers can be something a customer did, like booking a class, for example. Actions often have conditions, which are special requirements for the action to occur.
You may have special sub-groups of customers in mind that you'd like to market specific messaging to. You can now filter a list of customers down by specifying a new condition called 'customer has tag.'
What's a common use case?
Lets say you have a very specific group that you're crafting a message for -- like those who were just referred by a friend, who have also just attended a class.
You can arrange for Momence to identify this group of newly referred customers and automatically tag them, then send a specific message to each of these cusotmers as soon as they attend their first class.
Steps for this would be:
Create a tag for newly referred customers
Create a sequence that tells Momence when to apply this tag
Create a separate sequence to automatically send a message to anyone that
just attended class; and who
also happens to have this tag
Interested in setting this up?
Here's a play-by-play guide with screenshots.
Create a tag for newly referred customers (click Customers > Tags > New tag > use the following criteria or something similar. Pink isn't for everyone).
2. Create a sequence that tells Momence when to apply this tag (a trigger and an action).
Click Marketing > Sequences > New Sequence > from Scratch > use the following criteria or something similar
3. Lastly, create a separate sequence to message this group.
Click Marketing Sequences > New Sequence > From Scratch. (this sequence will contain a condition for the action)
For the trigger, choose class visit (or make this trigger whatever you'd like it to be).
Consider that you may not want to send this message on every class visit so as not to over message the customer. Below, at the bottom of the trigger page, notice how under 'Visits', I've set the count to every 3rd visit.
Next, before you click Add Action, click Add condition.
This is where we'll specify that the audience of this message will need to have this special tag.
Choose these criteria to ensure the message only goes to those those with the 'referred customer' tag.
Next click 'Add Action' and craft the message you'd like this group to receive.
Choose either email or SMS before writing your content. Submit and make sure to enable the sequence when done.
You're done! Check this recurring item off your future to-do list. Momence will take it from here. Go have a sandwich.
